The LTTE’s sewage media head Nadarajah Sethurupan alias Dirty (Oothai) Sethu had a private meeting with Dr Jayalath Jayawardene when he visited Oslo last month for a secretly arranged conference. The purpose of the meeting with Dirty Sethu was not known, but sources in Oslo said it was part of Dr Jayalath Jayawardene’s effort to keep in touch with hardcore LTTE activists.

Dirty Sethu received special blessings from a Buddhist monk visiting with Dr Jayalath Jayawardene. The monk tied special blessed strings around his hand after reciting verses of Pirith to help him get rid of the evil forces controlling him.

Nadarajah Sethurupan is from Thunnalai and studied at Hartley College. According to his school mates he was one of the violent student members in the school and was causing hell for fellow students. After scraping through the Ordinary Level examination in 1994 he found it hard to pass the Advanced Level exams. He left the school without any grades in the Advanced Level examination which he attempted unsuccessfully three times.

His father Nadarajah was a village astrologer. He aligned with the ruling United Nation Party in the 1970’s. Having won the confidence of the party leader J R Jayawardene, Dirty Sethu’s father was given a special task of helping the Sri Lankan Air Force to predict auspicious times to bomb LTTE targets in the north of Sri Lanka.

Dirty Sethu was entrusted with the task of managing the LTTE’s nitharsanam.com website. With his callous approach to issues, he became a major liability to the LTTE and the LTTE soon distanced itself from him. Sethurupan earned the Dirty Sethu (Oothai Sethu) name because of his grubby mindset of portraying anyone opposing the LTTE in a degrading manner in the websites.

His dirty and degrading attitude led him to use his IT skill in a irregular manner. Anyone reading his websites will realise that Dirty Sethu had personality disorder problem due to his disturbed mindset. But he was a hilarious man for the sadistic LTTE men in the Diaspora.
